　　Today is the 24th day of the twelfth lunar month. We are talking about Xiao Nian here. I remember before getting married, every year on this day, my parents would cook a lot of delicious food at home, as well as offer sacrifices to heaven, earth, and ancestors by killing chickens and ducks.

　　And this year we ate separately. I thought my father-in-law and his friends would have dinner with us, but to my surprise, my husband's second brother didn't come back either. I really don't want to say too much about my husband's family. They have caused me too much harm. Perhaps living like this is also a good thing for me, at least we don't have to spend so much money unjustly. But today I still feel a bit down, like a tiger falling in Pingyang and being bullied by a dog.

　　Today is the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, the Kitchen God Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year. Today, people eat dumplings and send the stove to the master.

　　Mom wants to make dumplings, which are chive meat dumplings. I'll wash the fruit dishes and fruits. There are apples, oranges, sugar, melon seeds, and peanuts in the fruit platter. Apples represent peace and prosperity in the new year, while oranges represent wealth and prosperity. These things are brought by the Kitchen God for blessings.

　　When eating dumplings, we should serve a bowl to the Kitchen God, set off firecrackers, and send him off for X days during the Chinese New Year.
